Bhelpuri with Mango Twist!

Bhelpuri is a quick & easy snack to prepare. It is also available at roadside stalls and is also served as a crunchy snack for teatime in the evening.

Bhelpuri is a dominant snack on the beaches of Mumbai, such as Chowpati and Juhu. I am sharing my recipe of Bhelpuri with a tangy taste of raw mango.

Ingredients-

  • 2 Cups Puffed Rice 
  • 5-6 Paapdi 
  • 1 tbsp Roasted Peanuts
  • 1/2 Cup Sev 
  • 1/2 Cup Onions (diced)
  • 1/2 Cup Boiled Potatoes (diced)
  • 1/2 Cup Tomato (diced)
  • 1 Green Chilli (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 3/4 cup raw mango (finely chopped)
  • 2 tsp Imli Chutney
  • 2 tsp Green Chutney
  • 1 tsp Salt, according to taste


Directions-

  • Heat a pan and add turmeric powder, puffed rice and then roast puffed rice.
  • Take a bowl and add roasted puffed rice, roasted peanuts, sev and papdi. 
  • Add potato, tomatoes, onion, raw mango and green chilli into the bowl.
  • Now add red chilli powder, chaat masala powder and salt to the bowl.
  • Add both chutneys along with lemon juice and mix all well.
  • Your bhelpuri is ready. 
  • Garnish it with sev and coriander leaves before serving.

Note: Add mixed namkeen, bundi or roasted chana dal if you want.
