Dry Cake in Microwave!
I love cake with or without icing. This dry cake recipe is very easy to make in the microwave or if you want to make the cake in a cooker then place salt in the base of the cooker and pre-heat it for 10 min then bake the cake for 30-35 min in the cooker.
But if you have the microwave then, this is the easiest way to bake a cake for just 6min and you can use chocolate ganache or cream cheese frosting on the top of the cake. In the previous blog, you can see the recipe for cream cheese. You can also enjoy this cake with vanilla ice cream as well.
Now learn how to bake the dry cake in microwave below.
Ingredients -
- 1 cup +1/2 cup maida
- 1 cup+1/4 cup castor sugar
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil or butter
- 1 cup curd (either homemade Dahi or cup)
- 3 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp vanilla essence (optional)
Directions -
- In a bowl add vegetable oil and sugar and beat this well.
- Now add curd to this and give a good mix.
- Add vanilla essence.
- In a different bowl sift maida, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder twice.
- Now add these dry mixture in the liquid mixture in two parts.
- Add walnuts or any nuts of your choice and mix everything together.
- Transfer the batter in microwave-safe bowl/ dish, lined with butter paper or parchment paper.
- Bake for 6min and enjoy it dry or with chocolate ganache or cream cheese frosting.
Note: Always top the icing after your cake is completely cool down.
