Spongy Dhokla - Tasty Gujarat Dish

Spongy Dhokla can be eaten for breakfast, as the main course, as a side dish, or as a snack.

Serve Spongy Dhokla with Thepla and Masala Chai and enjoy delicious breakfast with your family. This is very simple and ready to make a recipe and I make sure you will enjoy making it.

Ingredients -

  • 4 serving spoon Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1 serving spoon Rava (Suji)
  • 1 pinch of baking soda
  • 1/4 salt
  • 1 ENO

    For raasa -

  • 4-5 Green Chilly
  • 1 tablespoon
    mustard seeds (rai)
  • 4 spn sugar
  • Finely chopped coriander
  • 1 Glass water
  • 1/4 spoon salt
  • 1 Lemon


Directions -

  • Mix Rava, gram flour, baking soda, and salt. Remember to add ENO in the end.
  • Put all the mixture in the microwave for 3 minutes.
  • Left the dhokla to rest for 5 min
    For making raasa - 
  • Heat pan and put oil in it. Then add mustard seeds, curry leaves and saute it.
  • Add water to it and bring to boil.
  • After cooling down, add lemon juice and coriander.
  • Allow soaking the rasa for 3 to 4 minutes over Dhokla.
  • Serve Spongy Dhokla with tea or coffee.
Note - 
While adding ENO. mix the batter in one direction through spatula.
